Job Summary: We are seeking a competent, detail-oriented, and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our client’s pharmacy team. The successful candidate will support the provision of safe, efficient, and accurate pharmaceutical services to both outpatient and inpatient departments. Key Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions from Medical Officers and Specialists. Prepare and label medications, including compounding where necessary. Provide counselling to patients on proper medication use, dosage, side effects, and storage. Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and ensure timely reordering of drugs and consumables. Assist in the management of the pharmacy store, including proper storage, expiry checks, and documentation. Process prescriptions and ensure compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory requirements (PCN guidelines). Collaborate with pharmacists, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care. Participate in drug distribution to wards and clinics. Report adverse drug reactions and medication errors promptly. Support the Pharmacist in daily operations and any other assigned duties. Requirements and Qualifications Diploma or Certificate in Pharmacy Technician from a recognized institution. Full registration and current practicing license with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN). Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC experience as a Pharmacy Technician (hospital experience will be an added advantage). Sound knowledge of pharmacology, drug classifications, and pharmaceutical calculations. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in the use of pharmacy software and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work effectively under pressure, including shift duties (weekends and public holidays as required).
