About Role

As an Operations Support Officer at ShipAfrica, you will oversee the smooth handling of shipments and ensure full compliance with operational standards and processes. You will manage logistics activities from package inspection to drop-off coordination, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the shipment process.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Basic familiarity with logistics processes or carrier operations is an advantage
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced operational environment
• Candidates must be based in or around Trade Fair or within Ojo Local Government Area

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming packages, verifying actual and volumetric weight
• Approve shipment labels and document processes with pictures and videos
• Approve shipments and initiate waybill generation
• Coordinate the return of approved packages to customers
• Organize drop-offs at DHL, FedEx, UPS, and other carrier facilities
• Follow up on shipments to ensure seamless delivery processes
• Monitor shipment status and resolve logistical or compliance issues
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inspections, and approvals
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize workflow
