Contract
Type: Full-time
Location: Abuja (Hybrid)
Charles Ardor makes its clients'
financials reliable and helps them understand what the figures mean. Our
clients rely on those figures to run their businesses, so the work has to be
right. The Finance Operations Analyst works at the foundation of that process, preparing
and checking the financial information that the review team builds on. You will work with clients and internal team members. You will handle reconciliations, invoices, financial
schedules, month-end activities, and tax and payroll-related work within your
scope. This is not a data-entry role. You are
expected to understand what you are working with, notice when something does
not look right, and investigate it within your level of responsibility.
At this stage, we are not expecting
you to know everything or be fully proficient in every part of the role. We
expect to see clear progress from where you started and a stronger
understanding of how the firm's work is done.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant practical accounting experience.
• Basic working knowledge of tax and statutory requirements, including VAT, WHT, PAYE, and related deductions.
• Ability to work with financial information, identify discrepancies, and investigate issues within your level of responsibility.
• Good knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
• Basic knowledge of accounting software. Zoho Books or QuickBooks experience is an advantage.
• Careful and accurate in your own work, with the ability to notice when something in the records does not look right.
• Able to organize your work, manage several tasks, and follow through on outstanding items.
• Able to communicate clearly and professionally across teams and with clients.
• Willing to learn, receive feedback, ask questions when necessary, and improve the standard of your work.
We are a growing and evolving team.
Committed to developing people while building a stronger and more capable
workforce in Nigeria. At Charles Ardor, you will work on real client engagements, learn from
experienced team members, and develop practical accounting and analytical
skills in an environment that values learning, initiative, accountability, and
continuous improvement.
● A hands-on role where you work on real client
financials and build practical accounting experience.
● The opportunity to learn through real
engagements, feedback, and exposure to different client accounting
environments.
● A structured, technology-forward firm with
documented systems and clear standards.
● The opportunity to develop your accounting,
analytical, and problem-solving skills as the firm grows.
● A close working relationship with experienced
team members who can guide your development.
● Paid annual leave.
● Hybrid working, two days a week in the office.
