About Orukes Consult

The Orukes Consult is a software, product and growth consultancy helping businesses design, build and scale digital products. We work across web and software development, UI/UX, ecommerce, technical SEO, AEO/GEO, CRO, analytics, digital marketing and AI-powered growth systems. We are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to take ownership of client acquisition, partnerships and revenue growth. This is a hands-on, performance-focused role for someone who can identify opportunities, reach decision-makers, build relationships, manage a sales pipeline and help convert conversations into paying clients.

What you’ll do

• Build and manage a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects
• Identify businesses that need software development, websites, SEO, growth marketing, ecommerce, CRO, product development or related services
• Research and contact founders, CEOs, CMOs, marketing leaders and other decision-makers
• Conduct personalized outreach through LinkedIn, email and other relevant channels
• Qualify leads and identify genuine business needs
• Book and participate in discovery and sales calls
• Prepare or coordinate proposals, quotations and follow-ups
• Help negotiate and move opportunities toward signed contracts
• Develop partnerships with agencies, startups and companies that may require outsourced or white-label support
• Identify international opportunities across markets such as the UK, US, Canada, Europe, Africa and Asia
• Maintain accurate records of prospects, conversations, proposals and deals
• Continuously test and improve outreach, positioning and acquisition strategies
• Work directly with the founder on pricing, revenue strategy and business development

What success looks like; This is a revenue-focused role. Performance will be measured primarily through:

• Discovery meetings booked

• New clients acquired
• Revenue generated
• Conversion rates
• Partnerships created
• Growth of the sales pipeline We care more about commercial results than simply the number of emails or LinkedIn messages sent.

Who we’re looking for You may be a strong fit if you:

• Have experience in business development, B2B sales, agency sales, SaaS sales, technology sales or client acquisition
• Are confident communicating with founders and senior decision-makers
• Can research companies and understand their problems before approaching them
• Know how to sell solutions rather than send generic mass outreach
• Have strong written and spoken English
• Are comfortable handling follow-ups and managing a sales pipeline
• Can work independently and take ownership of revenue targets
• Understand digital products, software, SEO, marketing or technology services
• Have experience with LinkedIn prospecting, cold email, CRM tools or sales platforms
• Are commercially minded and motivated by performance-based earnings Experience selling software, agency, SEO, digital marketing, ecommerce or technology services is a strong advantage.

Compensation Base salary: ₦250,000 per month. The ₦250,000 monthly salary is guaranteed and paid separately from commission. Commission is additional income on top of the ₦250,000 base salary and is not deducted from, offset against or included within the base salary.

Commission structure For every new client personally sourced and successfully closed: 10% commission on the first client payment received by Orukes Consult. For clients who continue on a recurring retainer: 3% commission on payments received during the following three months, provided the client remains active and continues paying. Commission becomes payable only after Orukes Consult has received cleared payment from the client. There is no fixed cap on commission earnings. Employment type Full-time, Remote This role offers significant autonomy. You will be expected to take ownership of your pipeline and client acquisition strategy while working closely with the founder. Base compensation is fixed at ₦250,000 per month, regardless of commission earned. Commission is additional performance-based compensation.
